Originally hailing from Seattle, Washington (go Seahawks!), Tara Emerson is a strong, well-rounded actress and writer who has received numerous awards and accolades in the press for her work. She most recently starred in the multiple Emmy-Award winning Gordon Bressack’s film, "Keeper", for which she won best actress at the Best Actor in Film festival, San Francisco.

She also wrote and starred in "Enlightened", a mockumentary on new-age spirituality (Directed by Paul Pedreira, of "My Name is Earl" and "Grimm" fame) which not only won best short film at the Louisville International Film Festival, but won Tara a best supporting actress nomination at Mockfest in Los Angeles.

Tara has acted in over 30 films and television shows, not to mention having an extensive background in theater. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and JD Lewis’ master class "The Actor’s Lab". She has a wide acting range, and excels not only in comedy but drama as well, as noted by her awards in both genres.

Not only is Tara an accomplished actress, but a noted writer as well. She has written 2 films that have been made, a dark comedy that got distribution through James Cullen Bressack’s Psykik Junky Pictures (Fatal Fantasy) and a mockumentary starring David H. Lawrence (Heroes), Paul Schulze (Nurse Jackie) and Jonathan Slavin (Better Off Ted) that won best short film at a major international film festival (Enlightened). She also penned 2 short films which are currently in pre-production. On top of that, Tara has co-written 2 feature films and 2 televison pilots which are currently making the Hollywood circuit.
