Using the unbridled greed of the roaring twenties as a metaphor for the illegal activities that led to the current housing crisis, the story revolves around two brothers - one good and one bad - whose lives are inexorably brought together by 'Black Tuesday', the stock market crash of October, 1929.

Finalist Walt Disney Studios Fellowship Program, 500 S. Buena Vista, Burbank, CA. From among the thousands of screenplays submitted worldwide, my script was among the top twenty writing candidates (of which between ten to fifteen are hired to work within the Disney screenwriting department).

2nd Place The Lone Star Screenwriting Competition, 1920 Abrams Pkway, Dallas, TX. Received this award in 1997 as an outstanding non-Texas writer with The Confession of Corporal Read.
2nd Place The (Hollywood) Discovery Awards, 433 N. Camden Dr., Beverly Hills, CA. Received "Discovery of the Year Award" in February 1993, for Freedom's Bride.
Quarter-finalist Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA. In August 1993, was among the top two hundred scripts of over 4000 entered worldwide for the script, The Music of Men.
Semi-Finalist Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA. This contest is sponsored by the Academy Awards Foundation. In September 1992, was among the top one hundred scripts for the screenplay, The Legend of Anne Bonny.
