LOGLINE
This is the extraordinary adventure of two boys, Marc and Tom, who find themselves confronted by their deepest emotions. A shooting star lands so close to them that is nearly knocks them out. This “ZAKIS” has mystical powers. As soon as they touch it, Marc is transformed from a shy introvert to a Casanova. He is plunged into a world of drunken sensuality. For his part, Tom develops instantaneous inferiority complex. Marc gets himself into a fight, which loses him the stone. Tom’s emotions become more outrageous. The boys soon realize that the Zakis is somehow affecting Tom by all the emotions of the holder. The adventure really begins as our heroes attempt to recover it, but two Aliens are also after the Zakis, and the stone keeps changing hands. The Zakis passes from hand to hand, leading to all kinds to trouble. Their stern and cheerless teacher now sees a party everywhere. Patrick, a timid silent boy, can now communicate with animals and becomes a very vocal activist. Alex, a punk, conducts scientific experiments on the stone, which don’t bode well for Tom. The outcome is uncertain, but the boys know that the ultimate fate of the world rest in the hands.

BIO
Writer, Director Andre Gaumond was born in Montreal, Canada. He studied at the Concordia University in film productions. He started to work in cinema in 1983. He has work on many features film as a first assistant director or as a script supervisor with great director like: Tony Scott (USA), Werner Herzog (Germany), Marc Simenon and Jacques Renard (France), Laurence Gorden Clark (England), Jean-Claude Lauzon, Allan Goldstein, Robert Ménard in Canada and many more.

He started his production company 8 years ago in the goal to achieve his own films. He has produced 2 documentaries: VIETNAM, THE COUNTRY OF DREAMS, in 2007, that was presented at the Swansea Bay Film Festival and the Everglades International Film Festival. And I CAN’T, I LIVE IN CUBA!, in 2004, who was well received at the New-York International Independent Film & Video Festival, The Tiburon International Film Festival 2005 and the Calgary International Film Festival in 2005.

He also made more than 20 documentaries for Happiness-seekers.info and much more.

He wrote CUBA LA DIVA that had won an Honorable Mention at the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival 2008.

AND ZAKIS IS BEING OFFICIALLY SELECTED TO WIN AWARD AT THE ANGEL FILM AWARDS - MONACO INTERNATIONAL FILMFESTIVAL.
